President Taylor introduces the Kamp to Morrilton Kiwanis.

Sam Taylor with Community Service Incorporated was our guest speaker at our Kiwanis Club meeting today. Sam is also President of the Beatrice Johnson Kiwanis Youth Kamp. He updated the club about their goal of connecting kids with nature. The Missouri-Arkansas youth kamp was created to fulfill the need for kids to connect with nature through a variety of nature-based hands-on activities in a primitive environment. Their purpose is for the kamp to be used by the youth from our district, including Missouri and Arkansas. Some of the activities of the kamp are hiking, biking, primitive camping, archery with a licensed instructor, gaga pit, disc golf, outdoor education and more . For more information check out their website: kampkiwanismoar.org.

About $10K was raised for young folks at this event sponsored by the Russellville Kiwanis Club, a proud supporter of the BJK Kamp. This Kamp serves the entire MOARK District.

Kiwanis BJK Kamp is extremely lucky to be supported by our community. Today (10-23-24), our Kamp was host to almost 100 teenagers from RHS. FIRST STATE BANK, with no hesitation when ask to cook and feed 100 kids, they said YES! And they did, actually one young person devoured 13 hotdogs. Three team members of FSB, Ian Bryan, Suzanne Glover, and Jorge Sanchez are pictured in red t-shirts at the event. Board president Sam Tayor (left end) and Ron Knost (right end) pictured as well. From Kiwanis BJK Board and the kids we give you a SHOUT of THANK YOU.
It is support like this which assist us in providing outdoor training and a meal to some really great kids.

These are pictures from the leadership training conference that was held at B J K youth camp in the past week. They are having fun, but they’re learning all the time. Bring your kids to the BJK Youth camp.
