This may be of interest to the youth in our community:

The New Mexico High School Musical Theatre Awards (nmhsmta.org) send two New Mexico students to the Jimmy Awards — which will stream Thursday at 5:30pm MDT — every year. They are hosting a series of workshops July 26-30 for high school-age students, including one led by a Broadway artist. (They’re just finishing up the details on that agreement and will announce who it is soon.)

They're charging a nominal fee of $5 per workshop to a maximum cost of $25 that can include all 9. All the information is at: www.nmhsmta.org/2021-workshops.

Lincoln County Community Theatre wants to thank the community for its support of our recent initiative to raise funds to keep our non-profit organization financially viable during the Covid hiatus. Through your generosity, we have stabilized our treasury—including providing for ongoing expenses of insurance and storage of costumes and props--and are ready to hit the boards, bringing you live theatre in the second half of 2021 and in 2022.

A total of nearly $3500 was raised through an email appeal and membership drive; a viewing of our theatre-on-film celebration of the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage, titled “Our Votes, Our Voice” featuring the talents of several dozen community actors, playwrights, and filmmakers; and a standing-room-only benefit concert by the Flying J Wranglers. Both live events were hosted by Sacred Grounds Coffee and Tea House’s Will and Rebecca Ponder. The Ponders presented a $1,000 donation check to the theater group on behalf of the Mountain Entertainment Group for the Arts.

Whether involved as talent, attending the events, or contributing through our website, you remind us that community theater really is grounded in community. We look forward to seeing you in, or at, one of our upcoming productions. For more information, follow us on Facebook, or go to our website: lincolncountytheater.weebly.com

Greetings Lincoln County Community Theater Folks,
Happily, it is time to start thinking about producing live theater again! LCCT is looking at the Playwright Series we considered producing just before Covid hit. We are looking for folks who will be interested in production, acting, and directing short plays to run 2-3 weekends (hopefully) in August.
If you are interested in joining this project, please message and or friend me with a message ASAP so I can get your information and share ours. Let’s have some fun!
All my best, Pamela Witte

Join us as we launch our first LCCT production since Covid 19. At 4:00 on Sunday, the 16th of this month at Sacred Grounds, we will premiere our film celebration of Women's Suffrage and the anniversary of the 19th Amendment. This film was produced during the pandemic, a socially distanced project. Like many small non-profits, LCCT has been hit hard by Covid. We hope to raise enough money with this event to keep our insurance and our storage locker where we house our costumes, sets and props. This awesome community event is free; however, donations are welcome! Please come out and support local theater.
