Layla is ready for her comeback. ❤️

Just a little update on this resilient girl. One of the wounds on the outside of her face developed an abscess, which meant another round of antibiotics. Thankfully, the abscess drained on its own, and throughout it all, Layla has remained full of joy, spirit, and determination.

Every single day she becomes more playful, more affectionate, and more confident. She refuses to quit. She refuses to back down. No matter what life has thrown at her, she keeps choosing happiness.

This sweet girl is a fighter, and we truly believe her best days are ahead of her.

Not all heroes wear capes. ❤️

When we were full but knew Athena needed help, we put out a plea to our community and Sherry and Mike stepped up immediately. Touched by Athena’s story and experienced with Boxers, they opened their home and hearts to a dog who desperately needed both.

Athena had been on her own for weeks. She was skin and bones, exhausted, and living completely in survival mode. She needed time, patience, understanding, and a safe place to decompress. Sherry and Mike gave her exactly that.

Over the months, we’ve watched Athena transform. She has gained weight, regained her confidence, learned what it means to be loved, and formed an incredible bond with her foster family.

And while we’re a little late in sharing the news, we’re thrilled to announce that Sherry and Mike have officially finalized Athena’s adoption! 🎉

These are the stories we live for. The scared, forgotten dog who gets a second chance. The foster family who says “yes” when help is needed. The happy ending that becomes forever.

Thank you, Sherry and Mike, for believing in Athena and giving her the life she always deserved. ❤️🐾

Today, Charlie had his meet-and-greet with a potential family, and my heart is absolutely overflowing.

Charlie’s story is one that is very close to me. He came from a difficult background, and earning his trust took patience, consistency, and a lot of faith. The day I met Charlie, I remember thinking, “If I can prove to this dog that humans are worth surrendering to, then I can do anything.”

The amazing thing is that Charlie did the rest himself.

From the very beginning, I truly believed Charlie was a good dog to his core. He never needed to become a good dog—he simply needed the chance to show everyone who he already was.

Today, he showed off every bit of that. He greeted his potential family with kindness, gave plenty of affection, walked beautifully, handed out kisses, and showed them exactly why we fell in love with him. They were completely smitten and couldn’t believe what an incredible dog he is.

To see where Charlie started and where he is now fills me with so much joy. Watching a dog go from uncertainty and survival to being cherished and wanted is one of the greatest privileges of rescue.

Charlie is one very lucky boy, and we are so excited for him to head home with his forever family this coming week.

Thank you, Blair family, for seeing Charlie, appreciating him, and loving him for exactly who he is.
