Love, Team Tessa Tessa fought cancer like a warrior, only with a statement scarf and heels. Sparkly, spunky and kind, she made people pay attention to childhood cancer.

Neuroblastoma ultimately took Tessa's life, but her fight continues today through Love, Team Tessa. When our daughter Tessa was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in kindergarten, we were overwhelmed by the love and support from family, friends, the community and others throughout her nearly four year fight. After numerous transfusions and treatments, meals magically appeared in our refrigerator, the ya

rd mowed, the house cleaned. We were sent on dream trips. Hundreds of strangers donated thousands to help with medical costs. Our daughter heard from celebrities and her idols. A flash mob of 300 danced on our lawn for Tessa's 9th birthday, her last. These acts of kindness helped us in so many ways, big and small. Mostly, they enabled and encouraged us to enjoy every second with Tessa, to dwell in hope rather than worry and fear. That's why we formed Love, Team Tessa- to help shoulder some of the burden when families need it most- and to help find a cure. Only 4 percent of federal government cancer research funding goes toward childhood cancer. Raising more money to end childhood cancer and helping families along the way is the best possible tribute we could imagine for Tessa.

On the last day of their Senior year, Tessa’s friends got a group photo of where it all began at Upton Elementary School 💙
The subtle pieces of Tessa in this photo are just so heartwarming and 💔💔 at the same time. Noah holding her photo, and Alexis wearing her ribbon from the funeral… but also the stuffed monkey! Mott Children's Hospital had this program called “monkey in my chair” and anytime Tessa was absent they would put the stuffed monkey in her seat as a gentle reminder of her. That even though she was absent (a lot) she was still part of the class and would eventually be back, it was a wonderful thing.

A very special thank you to the M1 hockey team and Birmingham United for an unforgettable night. Not only did the boys (and awesome parents!!!!) help raise awareness for childhood cancer and funds for Love, Team Tessa, they also won an incredible game 4-1!!!!
We are always so appreciative of the love and support we receive from our community but this night was a little extra special coming from Tessa’s two buddies that are on the team and helped choose us as their recipient for this fundraiser.
We were honored to walk out on the ice and watch Jay do the puck drop. What a special group of boys that will ate hold a special place in our hearts 💛

Thank you so much to everyone that contributed to our toy drive this year ♥️
We delivered the gifts this morning to the same child life specialists that spent hours entertaining Tessa while she stayed in the hospital for days at a time over the course of four years. We all got to know them well while we were there for Tessa’s high dose treatments, infusions or fevers and they are all nothing short of amazing. Thank you ladies for all you do for our kids, we couldn’t have gotten through those days without you! Til next year xo

It includes an hour of yoga, followed by cocktails sponsored by Makers Mark whiskey and goodie bags provided by MNutrition in royal oak.

There is a QR code for the tshirt sales with an option to have it delivered or shipped free to the yoga studio and can be picked up there a week or two after the event.
