Free: 3 dozen heirloom tomato plants, each about 2 feet tall, raised and donated by Royal Oak resident Donna Marie. They are outside the gate of the Royal Oak Community Garden, first-come-first-serve. Free to everyone (regardless of whether you have a plot in the garden).

The Royal Oak Community Garden is on the grounds of Churchill Community Education Center, 707 Girard, Royal Oak MI 48073.

A local resident just contacted me, she has about 60 heirloom tomato plants, each about 15" tall, in flats and ready to plant. If I left them outside the garden gate could anyone use them? They would be free to anyone with a plot or without.

We will need to move our compost pile inside the gate (so that we don't interfere with grass cutting). If anyone wants to get some exercise please feel free to start moving it.
