Rest In Power DJ Glen.
In Loving and respected memory to one of Engine Room Section (ERS), The Mudd Band Founding Members Glenwayne Jordan (DJ Glen). Glen has been a staple for the Mudd Band functions and the on the road resident DJ for many years. In the beginning Mudd Band parties, Band Launching, after Carnival Cool downs, backyard parties, the balled head and smiling face behind a turntable is guaranteed to make you move.
Picture this, outside Tilden Hall, Brooklyn NY, the lime after the party. For those of you who remember back in the day Labor Day weekend Coffee Boys Friday night party. The lime after the party 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning, DJ Glen playing sweet Soca music from the back of a parked white van, which was also the bar, and the corn soup guy set up right next to the van. That’s my very first introduction to DJ Glen.
Glen was a humble, laid-back soul who always seemed at his happiest with a headphone on his head behind a turntable, today it’s a computer, plying his skill of mixing music to make you dance and sing. Let it be known, he will be doing exactly that in his next journey. Rest In Power DJ Glen, The Mudd Band #1 DJ. You will ALWAYS be missed and remembered! 🙏🏽 XOXO ❤️
