Well, by now, I'm sure you've all heard about the possible 1 to 100 inches of snow we're supposed to get! 😅 Unfortunately, for Dane County and White Lightning, our trails are closed for the season. Yes, this is regardless of how much snow we get Sunday in to Monday. The season was short, but it was fun while it lasted. Our club puts in the work preseason, during the season, and postseason no matter what. So when mother nature decides to bring us snow, everyone can enjoy our beautiful trails!

With that in mind, we owe a huge thank you to our landowners for allowing us to cross their property, our club members and volunteers for putting in countless hours of work, and lastly to everyone who ventured out and enjoyed our trails -- we are happy you were able to do so!! This sport would not be possible without our local clubs and their members. Please make sure to thank a landowner, groomer driver and volunteer when you see them! We look forward to the 2026-2027 riding season!!

ALL Dane County snowmobile trails will close tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16th at 6am!! We hope you were able to take advantage of our beautiful trail system this past week! Think snow and cold temps!! ❄️ ❄️
