🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is growing again! 💙💛🐾

What began with just 4 volunteers supporting the Rowlett Animal Shelter, FRAs has grown over the years to include Garland, Richardson and Sachse. Today, we’re excited to take the next step in our mission by welcoming the Wylie Animal Shelter as our newest shelter partner! 💕🐶🐱

At all our partner shelters, we’re dedicated to giving every pet the second chance they deserve and helping homeless pets find loving homes faster through:

Dill Pickles is a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a heart of gold. He can be a little nervous in new environments, but once he settles in, his fun and affectionate personality shines through.

In the yard, Dill Pickles loves to play and seems eager to make friends with every dog he sees. He is very treat-motivated, knows some basic commands, and enjoys learning new things. This handsome boy arrived at the shelter as a stray, and we honestly can’t understand why—he’s such a good dog!

Zeus is one of the longest residents at the Richardson Animal Shelter. He is honestly such a cute, sweet dog. He was adopted when he was a small, adorable puppy, but later ended up back at the shelter after being found as a stray. Sadly, this happens far too often—puppies are adopted because they’re cute, and then years later they end up back in the system through no fault of their own.

Zeus doesn’t let that stop him from loving people. He is such a good boy and loves everyone he meets. He is well-behaved, enjoys car rides, and is happy to be by your side wherever you go. All he wants is a family to love him forever.

🐾 Why is Rocky still waiting? 🐾

We can't figure it out either.

Rocky is a handsome 2-year-old Lab mix with a heart as big as his smile. At 53 pounds, he's the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. He's house-trained, walks beautifully on a loose leash, and has the kind of friendly personality that makes him a favorite with volunteers, staff, and everyone he meets.

Even better? Rocky is friendly with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to play with.

Ozark came to the shelter with some skin issues, but he’s receiving treatment and looking better every day. Now all he needs is a family to give him the happy ending he deserves. 🏡
