These six little faces arrived at the shelter needing safety, care, and a chance at a better life. Unfortunately, there are many more kittens just like them waiting for help right now.

Kitten season is in full swing, and our biggest needs are:

🐾 Kitten milk replacer
🐾 Blankets and towels
🐾 Carriers
🐾 Monetary donations for veterinary care

🐾 Meet Katara 🐾

Katara is a 4-month-old sweetheart weighing about 16 lbs who is ready to find a family of her own. She does have some skin issues, but they are being treated by the shelter and are not contagious. Through it all, she stays the happiest little love bug and just wants someone to cuddle and love on her. 💕

The shelter is getting full, and could really benefit from more foster homes right now.

Fostering saves lives by giving dogs a safe place to decompress, receive love, and get a break from the stress of the shelter environment. Even short-term fosters can make a huge difference.

Lulu🎀 (ID # 10674) is a 1-year-old shepherd mix weighing only 38 lbs 🐾 She’s affectionate, playful, and loves meeting new people. The moment we met, she rolled over for belly rubs 🥹

She walks well on a leash and has such a sweet, gentle personality. Lulu seems very curious and friendly around other dogs and would love a family of her own 💛

Earlier this month, some amazing volunteers from Serv with Liberty spent the day helping with a major cleanup effort at the Rowlett Animal Shelter! 🐾💙

This incredible team tackled projects both inside and outside the shelter, including:
• Power washing shelter walls and the entryway
• Cleaning windows
• Organizing donation and laundry areas
• Washing loads of laundry
• Taking out trash and helping tidy the facility

Their hard work made a huge difference and helped create a cleaner, more welcoming environment for both the dogs and shelter staff.

They also added the sweetest touch by leaving treats on each dog’s bed so every pup had a special surprise waiting for them when they came inside for the evening. ❤️

To wrap up the day, several volunteers spent time in the play yard loving on and playing with the puppies — the perfect ending for both the volunteers and the pups!

We are so grateful for the time, energy, and kindness Serv with Liberty brought to the Rowlett shelter. Thank you for making such a positive impact on our dogs, staff, and facility! 🐶✨
