Georgetown brought the Texas heat and Team Ochoa answered with a weekend that was hard to ignore.

Big congratulations to our Starfire athletes who made their school volleyball teams!

We love seeing our girls compete outside of softball and challenge themselves in another sport. Being a multisport athlete builds confidence, athleticism, teamwork and mental toughness - and it all comes back to make them better athletes. Keep competing and keep growing!

Oh, if I were **warning someone before they met BYBC Starfire**, I’d say:

**Consider Yourself Warned**

Just a heads up before you meet BYBC Starfire…

They’re loud. They’re competitive. They’re probably going to make you believe in “we over me” before you even realize it happened.

The kids? They don’t just show up to play. They show up to **compete**.

The parents? Passionate. Invested. Occasionally a little unhinged in the best possible way.

The coaches? Expect a lot. They’re going to push your kid, challenge them, hold them accountable, and somehow convince them they’re capable of more than they thought.

And the biggest warning?

**Once you’re Starfire, you’re family.**

You’ll celebrate together. Travel together. Sweat together. Probably yell together. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize this isn’t just softball anymore.

Good luck to all our Starfire athletes as they head back to school over the next week!

Remember, being a great softball player is about more than what happens on the field. The same hard work, discipline, and resilience that make you a better athlete will help you succeed in the classroom too.

Our Board of Directors is made up of dedicated volunteers who bring a diverse set of skills, experiences and a shared love for the game and our community.
