Twelve different acts on two stages and in the hallways, from big band and barbershop to Americana and emo. We had Round Hill Elementary School a'movin' and a'groovin' all day long on May 23 -- the Best Day of the Year in Round Hill!

Now that school is out for the summer, we'd like to send a note of appreciation to the administration and staff of Round Hill Elementary School, who helped make our move to the school as smooth as possible! THANK YOU!

Special thanks go out to Assistant Principal Joshua Pierce, who not only helped us through the logistics on Friday night and was there to open and close the school on Saturday but also ran the 5k, participated in the Pie-eating Contest and had his family with him enjoying the music!

We'd also like to give a shout out to the custodial staff who were working behind the scenes to keep everything in check!

While it literally rained on our parade, that didn't stop the Round Hill community from grabbing umbrellas and raincoats and pulling out pop-up tents and SHOWING UP for the 22nd Annual Round Hill Hometown Festival Parade on Saturday, May 23!

Our final THANK YOU of the day goes to Rodeo’s Mexican Grill, who joined us at dinner time through the evening concert. We appreciate them coming out in the rain and providing a variety of entree items to carry us through the night. Visit them for lunch or dinner next time you’re in Lovettsville!

The next vendor THANK YOU goes to our favorite local ice cream truck, Gruto's Soft Serve! Who says chilly and rainy isn't ice cream weather? Not the Round Hill Hometown Festival, that's for sure!

We were thrilled Gruto's could come out and join us at the elementary school and look forward to having them with us again next year! In the meantime, be sure to visit their shops in Purcellville and downtown Leesburg!

Our next vendor THANK YOU goes out to Saloua Souaini of MYS Crepes. She was the only one of our lunch vendors to travel to the school with us, which meant she had a line all day long! When she ran out of supplies, she didn’t pack it in but sent out for more — which meant she could keep serving up her amazing crepes all the way through the evening concert. And every time we saw her, she had a smile on her face!
Saloua, thank you for being part of the Best Day of the Year in Round Hill!

Today's shout out THANK YOUs go to our vendors, and we are starting with the one who really went the distance -- the thru-hiker of the 22nd Annual Hometown Festival, if you will -- Round Hill Farm to Trail Co.!

Trey Wirth and his crew started the day on the market's front porch, serving coffee, donuts, and breakfast sandwiches to the die-hard Festival fans who braved the rain to come out to cheer on the runners in the 5k and the parade. Their team made an enthusiastic cheering squad too!

RHF2T Co. then packed up and moved to the elementary school, where they set up a dirty soda bar and sold other canned drinks and pre-packaged snacks, first in the cafeteria and then in the gymnasium during dinner and the evening concert. They were there from the first to the last event of the day!

We appreciate Trey and his team's dedication to the Festival, and to the Round Hill community in general, and encourage the community to visit them to check out what they "have in store" for you at Round Hill Farm to Trail Co.!
