Many of our founders and supporters were born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, while others have been acting, directing, and producing theatre here for over a decade. You may recognize several of us from our work onstage and in the community. Not long ago, we found ourselves to be proverbial lost boys, without a theatre to call home. The Roswell community rallied to our aid. With the outpouring
of love and support we received, we quickly realized we could create a theatre home of our own and open our doors to anyone and everyone who wants to join with us to create and learn. We quickly came together to discuss what we value most about the performing arts, and why we want to do theatre in Roswell. Education and personal growth were at the top of that list. This makes sense, given that several of us actually have an educational background in the performing arts. Because theatre is a collaborative art, we want to teach our craft to and inspire future generations of theatre practitioners in our community so that such collaboration continues and thrives. We believe a strong educational background and a willingness to teach others is what translates to the highest quality theatre experience for practitioners and audience alike. We feel that bringing our individual strengths to one company has extraordinary potential. We are champions of the performing arts and all it has to offer. Not only do we intend to focus on shows that foster collaboration between artists and bring something new and fresh to our community, but also to establish a strong extracurricular theatre education program. Our intention is to work with other groups and individuals in Roswell, across the state of New Mexico, and the U.S. to continue to bring even more exciting opportunities to Roswell. We want to grow and contribute to establishing Roswell as a hub of the performing arts in Southeastern New Mexico.
