The Rossville PRIDE Committee is a volunteer, grassroots effort to improve the quality of life in our community. The Rossville community is unique and shares a common bond: a rich heritage based on self-reliance and community pride. The goal of PRIDE is to help maximize community and economic development efforts by encouraging all groups to coordinate and work collaboratively for community betterment.

It's your final opportunity to join Beginner Wednesday for the 2026 season!

Wednesday, September 2, 2026 - Edwardsville

At Beginner Wednesday, you will learn how to kayak and/or how to read the Kansas River on a guided kayak trip. Our staff and Kaw River Guides, who are all experienced paddlers, will be with you on the trip to help with anything you may need, including safety instruction. If you have never paddled before, we will teach you what you need to know and be there with you on your first journey on the Kansas River.

Sign up is open for our young entrepreneurs for the 2026 Youth Pitch Contest! Our Contest will be Nov. 4th at Link Innovation Lab. Optional learning session are available at the Extension Office to youth who want to learn about how to create and deliver a business pitch!

The registration deadline for the contest is October 19th.
