What no one tells you about youth sports…
Years from now, they probably won’t remember the score of this game.
They won’t remember who won the tournament, how many strikeouts they had, or what their batting average was that season.
They’ll remember the wiffle ball games between games.
They’ll remember playing catch while waiting for the next game.
They’ll remember the team dinners, the hotel hallways, the inside jokes, and the kid who somehow ate an entire burrito by himself.
They’ll remember laughing until their stomachs hurt.
Most importantly, they’ll remember the friends who grew up beside them.
The teammates who became brothers.
The boys who learned each other’s strengths, quirks, struggles, and victories.
In a world where everyone is always looking for the next thing, there is something incredibly valuable about a group of kids growing up together.
Learning how to win together.
Learning how to lose together.
Learning how to support each other when things don’t go their way.
The bonds formed in moments like these can’t be recreated every season.
Baseball is the reason they met.
But the relationships they build along the way are the reason they’ll remember it forever.
One day, the trophies will collect dust. The stats will fade.
But the friendships, the memories, and the boys who helped shape who they become?
Those are the things that last.
Let them grow together. 💙💛⚾️
