We are honored to share one of our new sponsored projects: the E+R Project Court Support Bags.

Inspired by the Empower + Resilience Project and guided by the Placer DAโ€™s Victim Services Unit, these bags were designed by survivors for victims to bring a little comfort during the court process.

Each bag includes simple essentials like water, a snack, tissues, mints and more โ€” small items that can make a meaningful difference during an overwhelming time.

Stay tuned to learn how you can sponsor a court support bag for a victim!

Our Victim Services Unit at the Placer County District Attorneyโ€™s Office provides critical on-the-ground support for victims and survivors throughout the criminal justice process.

Every day, they help individuals and families navigate the court system, connect with resources, understand their rights, and find support during some of lifeโ€™s most challenging moments. Just as importantly, they help identify gaps in services and support, allowing us and our partners to better meet the needs of those we serve.

They are an invaluable partner in our mission to support victims and survivors, and we are deeply grateful for their compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our community.

Thank you to our Victim Services Unit for the difference you make every single day. โค๏ธ

We are honored to be even a piece of this important project. Spearheaded by one of our supported programs, the Empower + Resilience Project, our very own board member Laura Collanton helped finalize, contribute, and ultimately distribute this import book that we hope will help survivors across the state.

Today we were honored to stand beside victims and survivors at our Annual Victim + Survivor Brunchโ€”where our community came together to honor lives lost, uplift resilience, and recommit to the work ahead.

From the expansion of Placer PROMISE to the unveiling of a vision for a Victim + Survivor Memorial Park, this event showed whatโ€™s possible when a community chooses to listen, act, and advocateโ€”together.

We are proud to support this growing movement and the voices driving it forward.

Our brunch just got that much more delicious.

We are excited to announce that Bumble Bee Coffee, a survivor-run local business, will be joining us at this yearโ€™s Victim + Survivor Brunch with their coffee cartโ€”generously donating a full menu of coffee, tea, and specialty drink options. Even the syrups are being donated by Vaneli's Handcrafted Coffee from Rocklin.

Not only does the menu look incredible, it was thoughtfully handcrafted with care and intention. Even more meaningful, the servers behind the coffee cart are young people who are victims or have been impacted by crime, making this collaboration both powerful and deeply personal.

We are incredibly grateful for this partnership that brings together purpose, opportunity, and community in such a unique way.

And thereโ€™s more--Bumble Bee Coffee has also received an additional donation to create an artistic and unforgettable event surpriseโ€ฆ one you will not want to miss.

Toast has a furry friend! ๐Ÿ˜† Happy April 1.

Introducing Chloe, the Court Catโ€”our newest โ€œstaff memberโ€ known for delivering comfort, calm, and the occasional well-timed head boop during stressful days. Whether itโ€™s a quiet moment before court or a little extra reassurance in the hallway, Chloe is always on duty (especially if treats or catnip is involved).

Oh and โ€ฆ. happy April 1.
