We are so excited to announce a new initiative in partnership with our supported Placer County District Attorney's OfficeEmpower + Resilience Project, Crime Victims United, and local community partners — Placer County’s first Survivor Wellness Retreat: The Resilience Retreat.

Nestled in the beautiful Placer County foothills, the Resilience Retreat is being developed as a peaceful space where our community can come together to support victims and survivors through healing, connection, wellness, and resilience.

This project is still in its early stages, with the goal of developing a more formal retreat offering in 2027. That means our supporters have a unique opportunity to be at the ground level of helping bring this vision to life.

When you donate to the Placer Justice Foundation — or join us at our upcoming Guardians of Hope Gala — you are helping support innovative projects like this that expand what victim services can look like in our community. We cannot wait to share more as this project grows.

Join us at the Guardians of Hope Gala and help build what comes next:

PJF delivery of 50 more court process books for our court bags! Sometimes, filling the gap for victims looks like a snack during a long court hearing, or a journal to track the court process, and even a note from another survivor.

We are proud of this program - for survivors, by survivors. 💙

We are honored to share one of our new sponsored projects: the E+R Project Court Support Bags.

Inspired by the Empower + Resilience Project and guided by the Placer DA’s Victim Services Unit, these bags were designed by survivors for victims to bring a little comfort during the court process.

Each bag includes simple essentials like water, a snack, tissues, mints and more — small items that can make a meaningful difference during an overwhelming time.

Stay tuned to learn how you can sponsor a court support bag for a victim!
