Meet Amador Sons!
After performing at leading venues in Nashville and New York City, Lee and Luis Hurtado are bringing their sound back to California for Beats, Burgers, and Bruise on September 26th Granite Bay Brewing Company and we could not be more EXCITED!
Their musical journey began with a trumpet in Ione, followed by a trombone in the middle school band, and various brass instruments. However, the guitar had the greatest influence on Amador Sons founders and Amador natives Lee and Luis Hurtado. They were introduced to the six-stringed melody-maker at Amador High School when a teacher played it during class. Lee recalls, “We were instantly obsessed and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. We had our own guitar that year and started playing.”
Born and raised in Amador County, Lee and Luis are homegrown artists. They developed their musical talents in the Ione Junior High School band and expanded their range by composing and performing with various musicians, including rock and cover bands. They now exclusively perform original music, drawing on their diverse musical experiences and history.
“We’ve been playing music together for over 20 years,” says Lee. “Today, we lean into modern country, but we draw influence from country, pop, soul, and R&B.”
