Will you be attending our Holiday Fair Trade Market for the first time this year? Every year, we are amazed at the variety of fair trade goods on offer from all the different vendors at the market, and we hope you will be dazzled when you walk in.

So you know, our checkout system is a little different from other sales you might visit. When you arrive, a greeter will offer you a small shopping basket, which you can use to carry your purchases around the market. Each vendor has their own area to display products, but we have one central checkout area. You will pay for all your purchases in a single transaction--which we think is more convenient for you.

When you find items you'd like to purchase, the vendor will fill out a three-part sales receipt for you. They will keep one copy for their records and hand you the other two. When you have browsed the rest of the market and made all your selections, head to checkout and present all your purchases and sales receipts to the cashier. As your purchases are totaled, we'll keep a copy of the sales receipt for our records and give you the remaining one. This is how we ensure each vendor receives credit for their portion of the sales.

In keeping with the ideals of fair trade, net proceeds from the Holiday Fair Trade Market are returned to the vendors. Hosting the market is a mission for New Life Presbyterian, and the church itself does not profit from the sales.
