Rosendale Veterans Memorial

Rosendale Veterans Memorial Rosendale Veterans Memorial Committee Borders and those who served in times of peace. The project is being done in phases, as funds permit:

1.

A group of area citizens have raised funds and built an outdoor Memorial to honor United States Veterans in the Rosendale Cemetary. Although sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)-Rosendale Chapter, the memorial honors living and deceased veterans who served in the Armed Forces, including those who served within U.S. Excavation, rough grading, monument foundations, central monument, servi

ces & American flag installations, electrical, concrete walkways, a granite bench, and landscaping were completed in 2002.

2. Five "Era Monuments" have been installed. Each includes names of Veterans who served during that Era (from 1850-present). Over 450 names are listed. This phase was dedicated with a Ceremony at the Memorial on July 4, 2003.

3. A Shelter was built in 2004, including a Veteran Information Center and Donor Plaque.

4. Continuing donations will be used for perpetual operation, maintenance and additions to the memorial (including names of Veterans with no sponsors). Donations can be recognized on the general Donor Plaque or on individual plaques for "Specific Donations" per back of the pledge form.
