Join us this month as we honor Neonatal Intensive Care Unit families, celebrate the healthcare professionals who care for them, and inspire hope for our tiniest fighters by continuing to share our 226 day NICU experience.

​This special month is dedicated to acknowledging the challenges NICU patients and families face and providing them with the support and resources they need.

I’m pretty sure that he was in shock at first. Now, one year later, he does so well with his sister. Big Brother Carter is coming along so nicely and I can tell that he enjoys her in his own way.

💫❤️🤱🏾 Happy Black Breastfeeding Week ❤️😊🤱🏾

When Carter was in the NICU he had a feeding tube (and he still does) but he received small amounts of breast milk via a syringe. Because he was on oxygen and his lungs were fragile he had to pass a swallow study to be able to eat by mouth. It was so cool to see him finally eating a little bit of milk. At 7 he’s still in feeding therapy but we are hopeful that he will eat more in the coming years. 🙏🏾❤️

For one whole year our NICU warrior received mama’s breast milk and now he’s 7 years old and thriving. So grateful. Happy Black Breastfeeding Week 🤱🏾❤️

I believe that Carter’s sister will be his biggest advocate. She is already learning to have patience with her brother and she absolutely adores him.

Throwback Thursday 😊
The little guy to the left had just gotten out of the NICU and was still on oxygen and a ventilator. Today he still has a trach and feeding tube but he’s thriving! So grateful for his progress and all that God has done. We are so proud of you Carter ❤️
