Douglas County Lamb Show

Douglas County Lamb Show For 81 years, the Douglas County Lamb Show has been a place for adults and youth to exhibit the fine lamb and sheep products of Douglas County, Oregon.

The Douglas County Lamb Show highlights the products of the county lamb and sheep industries. Lamb Show is held the first Saturday in June at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Lamb Show features nearly 200 youth 4-H and FFA lamb conformation and showmanship classes. An open class show is also highlighted for showmen exhibiting a pen of five and singles, as well as a bummer lamb class Children in 3r

d grade and younger also have the opportunity to get involved in the decorator class. Aside from live animal exhibits, there is also a lamb cooking and table Setting competition. The Lamb Show also has a wool craft Show and a sheep shawl exhibit. An lamb barbecue dinner is served every year with local Douglas County lamb. The day is concluded with the 4-H/FFA market lamb auction sponsored by Rotary Club of Roseburg. The Douglas County Lamb Show is a cooperative effort of Douglas County Fairgrounds, Douglas County OSU Extension Service and Douglas County Livestock Association.
