Get ready for the Warbler Welcome Birdathon May 3-17, 2025!
We are looking for teams of bird enthusiasts to count as many bird species as possible–to raise funds for Michigan’s Largest Kirtland’s Warbler Sculpture in Roscommon, Michigan.
Your count territory is anywhere you want. This will allow more birders to join the fun and put their skills to the test. Whether you’re an experienced birder or a novice, you can make a big difference.

• To volunteer as a counter, solo or with a team, email us at [email protected] and we’ll send you all the details.
• Pick a 24-hour period during the Warbler Welcome period, May 3-17. You can go birding for 10 minutes or the full 24 hours and visit as many locations as you want throughout your day. Your team can submit data from the first outing or wait and submit your best effort from multiple trips. You can participate on as many teams as you want, so feel free to submit another day of birding with different team members, or another day with the same squad.
• You can submit your species with an eBird checklist, our checklist, or a list of your own making.
Make a per-species pledge (e.g. $0.50 per bird species)
• All pledges will be updated to reflect the total bird species tallied, and payment requests will be sent.
