One thing we’re really looking forward to this time around is being able to hand out turkeys right before Thanksgiving.🦃

Community Day is November 21st, so the timing couldn’t be much better.

We’re still working through exactly how many we’ll be able to hand out and how everything will work, but the goal is simple: bless as many families as we can.

More details on that will come as we get closer.

🔥SOUTH ROME, WE GOT SOME NEWS!🔥

When we started planning our next Community Day, we knew we wanted to come back to South Rome. We just didn’t know exactly where God was going to open the door.

Well... the door opened.

We’re excited to announce that Victory in Action will be coming alongside the South Rome Boys & Girls Club for our next Community Day on November 21st!

And man, this one just feels right.

We’re not interested in coming into a community, setting up for a few hours and disappearing. Our heart has always been to build relationships, come alongside the people who are already doing the work and keep showing up.

The Boys & Girls Club pours into kids and families in South Rome every single day, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to come alongside them and serve.

Same heart. Same mission. New home.🔥

Food, turkeys, music and all the other stuff is gonna be great... but the heart behind all of it is still the same.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35

We’re not just coming back to South Rome for another event.

We’re coming back to love people.

Sometimes people see a fundraiser and think, “I can’t give enough for it to really matter.”

That’s not true.

$5 matters.
$10 matters.
$20 matters.

A whole bunch of people doing a little can turn into a whole lot of food, supplies
and families being served.

We’re building toward Community Day on November 21st, and if you’d like to put something behind it, here’s your opportunity.

No amount is too small. Everybody can do something.💪

We’ve got Community Day coming up, but Victory in Action isn’t built around one event.

There are needs in our community all year long, and we want to keep putting ourselves in a position where when an opportunity to serve comes up, we can move.

One of the biggest ways people can help us do that is by becoming a monthly supporter.

It doesn’t have to be some huge amount either. $5, $10 or $20 a month might not feel like much by itself, but when a group of people commits to doing a little consistently, it gives us something we can actually build on.

Food. Supplies. Outreach. Community Days. Helping somebody when a need comes across our path.

That’s what it goes toward.

At the end of the day, this is what Victory in Action is about.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35

We can have all the food, basketball, giveaways and activities in the world, but the whole point is loving people well and giving them a chance to see Jesus through how we serve.

That’s the heart behind Community Day.

Community Day is officially on the calendar, so now it’s time to start putting the pieces together.🔥

On November 21st, Victory in Action will be back at Parks Hoke Park serving South Rome with free food, turkey handouts, activities for the kids, the 3-point shootout, prayer, fellowship and more.

Everything we do that day will be completely free to the community, but obviously it takes some help to make that happen.

So we’re starting early.

If you believe in what Victory in Action is doing and want to help us make the next Community Day happen, $5, $10, $20 or whatever you feel led to give all adds up.
You don’t have to be there November 21st to be part of what happens November 21st.

Somebody around you is probably fighting a battle you know nothing about.

The person who still showed up to work. The parent who still got the kids ready this morning. The friend who still cracked a joke. The neighbor who waved like everything was fine.

We’ve gotten really good at seeing people without actually seeing people.

So here’s a challenge for today: slow down long enough to notice somebody.

Check in. Make the call. Pay for the meal. Speak some life into somebody. Pray with them if they’ll let you.

It doesn't have to be some huge gesture to matter.

“Encourage one another and build each other up.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

There’s enough tearing people down in this world already.

Let’s be people who build them back up.💪

🚨South Rome🚨

We're putting this one out there early.

Victory in Action Community Day is coming back to Parks Hoke Park November 21st.

We still have plenty of time between now and then and a lot more details to work out, but this one is already starting to come together and we're excited about it.

We're talking free food, turkey handouts for families, guest speakers, music, games and activities for the kids, prayer, fellowship, and the 3-point shootout is making its return.🏀💰

And yes... we talking about that chicken again.🍗😂
If you were there last time, you already know.

But as much as we love getting everybody together, feeding people and having a good time, Community Day has always been about something bigger.

It's about showing up. Being present. Building relationships. Praying with people. Loving people right where they're at and letting our actions speak louder than anything we could put on a microphone.

Jesus said it plainly:

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 13:35

That's Victory in Action.

We don't want our community to just hear us talk about Jesus. We want them to experience His love through the way we love and serve them.

Just a reminder today...

You don't have to have a lot to make a difference in somebody's life.

You don't need a nonprofit. You don't need money. You don't need a platform, a title, or hundreds of people behind you.

Sometimes making a difference looks like noticing the kid everybody else overlooks. Checking on the neighbor you haven't seen outside in a few days. Buying somebody a meal when you know they're struggling. Sitting down and actually listening when somebody needs to talk.

Scripture says, "Let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth." 1 John 3:18

That's bigger than Victory in Action. That's something every one of us can live.

Imagine what our community would look like if we all found one person this week and intentionally made their day a little better.

That's the challenge.

One person. One act. No recognition needed.

Victory in Action wanted to help spread the word on this one for our Rome families. ❤️

The YMCA will be out at Banty Park Monday through Friday ALL summer long from 1 PM to 2 PM with food, games, crafts, and activities for the kids.

They’ll also have Grab & Go boxes available with fresh produce and milk included.

We love seeing organizations pour back into the community and create positive spaces for our youth. Opportunities like this matter and can make a real difference for families throughout the summer.

Please help spread the word because somebody may need this resource and not even know it’s available.
