🔥🧯 Fire Extinguisher Training at the Rome Fire Department 🧯🔥

Today, members of the Rome Fire Department had the opportunity to provide hands-on fire extinguisher training to community members. Participants learned about the different types of extinguishers, when they should be used, and practiced proper extinguisher operation using the PASS method — Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Sweep.

Fire safety education is an important part of our mission, and we appreciate everyone who took the time to attend and improve their emergency preparedness skills. The knowledge gained from classes like these can help make a difference when seconds count.

Thank you to all who participated and helped make this training a success. We look forward to continuing to provide educational opportunities that help keep our community safe.

We greatly appreciate your continued support of our firefighters and first responders. Acts of kindness like this mean a lot to the men and women who are serving our community each day.

🚒 Rome Fire Department – May 2026 Statistics

During the month of May, the members of the Rome Fire Department responded to 566 calls for service throughout our community.

Our responses included:
• 418 Medical Calls
• 16 Motor Vehicle Accidents
• 5 Reported Structure Fires
• 2 Second Alarm Fires

We are proud to serve the residents and visitors of Rome 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
