Warming Centers To Be Open Around LaGrange County

(LAGRANGE) – Low temperatures and wind chills are forecast in the area over the next several days.

LaGrange County Emergency Services Director Bill Mohr says warming centers will be open if anyone needs a place to get warmed up.

The centers will be at the following locations:
The LaGrange County Library Central Branch, 203 West Spring Street in LaGrange. Hours are Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 8 PM, Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.

The LaGrange County Library Topeka Branch, 133 North Main Street in Topeka. Hours are Monday through Friday 11 AM to 6 PM and then Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.

The LaGrange County Council On Aging, 410 East Central Avenue in LaGrange. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office Lobby, 875 South State Road 9 in LaGrange. The lobby is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Mohr says to please remember to limit outdoor activities, check on family and neighbors and keep an eye on your pets. If you’re traveling, make sure you have supplies to keep you warm in case they are needed and let someone know your travel plans.
