MEEKA UPDATE

Meeka did great. Her surgery went well and she charmed the staff as usual. She’s in the dreaded cone for a couple of weeks so she’ll be a temporary resident of the “recovery hotel” (2 big cages attached together) so we can monitor her until the cone comes off. But she’s on good pain meds and should feel better.

Unfortunately… the vet team discovered she has a bad case of stomatitis! Poor girl. So once she heals, she will need to see our dental specialist who is great with stomatitis patients.

If anyone is interested in seeing a photo of what stomatitis looks like, shoot me a message. It’s too graphic to show on FB.

Meeka needs some healing thoughts tonight. She had surgery today to clean up her eye sockets and get them sewn closed. A bad infection developed and closing them will hopefully prevent future discomfort. She’ll come home tomorrow. ❤️
