As we reflect on another incredible year at the Remembering Nicholas Foundation, we want to thank our amazing sponsors and supporters who made this year’s golf tournament possible. 💙⛳ Together, we are continuing the fight to improve childcare safety, education, and awareness across Arkansas. Through our partnerships with Child Care Aware of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas, we are working to strengthen education within childcare facilities and ensure providers have access to the life-saving tools. Your support has helped us: • Provide free Pediatric CPR & First Aid training • Supply safety resources to childcare facilities and families • Support grieving families • Increase awareness surrounding safe sleep & emergency response With Arkansas having the 3rd highest infant mortality rate in the nation, this mission is deeply personal to me. ❄️ Winter Storm Safety Reminder for Parents & Caregivers ❄️

As this historic winter storm moves across the Midwest, we know many families are doing everything they can to keep their babies warm and safe. During extreme cold, it’s especially important to remember that overheating can be just as dangerous as being too cold for infants.

Here are a few safe sleep reminders to help protect your baby during the winter months:

🛏️ Back to sleep, every sleep – Always place your baby on their back in a bare crib, bassinet, or pack ‘n play.
🧸 Skip loose items – No blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, or sleep positioners in the sleep space.
👕 Dress in layers, not bundles – One more layer than an adult is usually enough. If you’re comfortable, your baby likely is too.
🧦 Avoid hats and heavy coats indoors – Babies regulate temperature through their heads; hats during sleep can cause overheating.
🌡️ Watch for signs of overheating – Sweating, flushed skin, rapid breathing, or feeling hot to the touch are red flags.
