TONYisms. That’s what my grade school
Friend, Claudia, called my dad’s witticisms. THEN fast forward 20 years from grade school and my neighbor Dawn, met my dad and started calling his witty comments TONYisms too. And here an example. Living in 6th Street in Northeast there were tons of kids in our block. So our mischievous deeds were well
Matched by the neighborhood kids. So we did not stand out. When we moved to KCK all the neighbors on 32nd street were retired. My mom got tired of apologizing for having “LIVELY” kids and stopped answering the door for the neighbors’ complaints. In the Spring and Fall when the windows in the house were open, mom would yell Out the windows that our dad would be home after 6 pm. So that’s when the neighbors started showing up at our front door. My brothers got the idea of painting Rocks and going door to door selling them. Well the neighbors lined up at our door that night with the rocks. Dad laughed and said “Don’t those kids show a lot of ingenuity? Affirming our antics like that a few times and the retirees thought their complaints were an exercise I. Futility and stopped tattle telling. TONYisms. A few years later our cousin did the same in his block full of kids. The parents laughed. Happy Heavenly birthday to my dad. We sure miss u and ur TONYISMS 💜💕🩵❤️💙
