More about our mission:

Our kitchen has seen a substantial increase in need for our subsidized meals program. We’ve provided free meals to our subsidized meal recipients during the month of November due to funding interruptions. Your gift provides so much more than a meal during the holidays. Anything you can give would help our elderly and housebound recipients continue to receive high quality, tasty meals, and allow us to continue to provide companionship and peace of mind. Kick off the season of giving with a generous gift today!

We are proud to offer this service to our neighbors in Rocky River, Lakewood, and Fairview Park that need a little extra help, but as prices have gone up it has become harder to afford high quality ingredients and continue to provide subsidized meals.

Free Meals for SNAP Recipients

In partnership with Rocky River Senior Center and Good Soil Lutheran Ministries, West Shore Meals on Wheels will be making a limited number of free meals available to SNAP recipients for PICK-UP starting THURSDAY, 11/13.

Location: 20300 Hilliard Blvd

Time: 12pm - 1pm (or until we run out)

Policies: first-come, first-served; limit 1 hot & cold meal per person, max 4 per household; proof of SNAP eligibility upon request

We expect to have about 40 hot and 40 cold meals available on Thursday. We plan to offer this service for the duration of the disruption to SNAP benefits - but will continue to update this page as the situation evolves.

Traditionally we serve those individuals who are housebound or mobility challenged, but given the current uncertainty, we’re taking steps to meet the evolving needs of the community. We rely on community donations and volunteers to continue our mission to deliver healthy, freshly prepared meals to at-risk members of our community.

We’re seeking a Volunteer Coordinator responsible for scheduling volunteers and organizing delivery routes. This position is essential to our operations and is a perfect fit for a recent retiree or someone looking to make an impact on the community.

This is a paid position, 20-30 hours/week and open to some degree of flexible scheduling.
