We are thrilled to announce that United Heritage Fire Company will be joining our friends at Montgomery County, MD Department of Transportation for their annual Safety Day!

Looking for a fun, free, and family-friendly way to spend your Saturday? Come hang out with US as well as dozens of other agencies and learn how to keep our community safe. We’ll be there with the apparatus, ready to meet you and answer all your fire safety questions.

Join MCDOT for Safety Day 2026!
Come out on May 9 from 11 AM – 3 PM at the Carver Education Center in Rockville for a fun, family‑friendly day all about traffic safety.
Enjoy a festival‑style event with dozens of activities, community partners, and FREE giveaways and prizes. It’s a great chance for all ages to learn about safety while having a great time together.

United Heritage Fire Company is proud to offer a well-known piece of fire service history to the public:

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟐𝟐 / 𝐅𝐨𝐚𝐦 𝟏𝟐

This iconic apparatus served the College Park community for decades originally as Engine 122 (first-due engine), later transitioning to a pumper, and ending its career as Foam 12.

Apparatus details:
• CF-600 - Maxidyne
• Automatic Transmission
• 1250 GPM Waterous pump
• 500-gallon water tank
• Runs strong, drives well, and holds air pressure
• Valid Maryland Title – currently registered and insured
• Dimensions: 28’ L | 10’ W | 8’11” H
• Mirrors can be adjusted to reduce width slightly for tighter access

Since acquiring the unit, our members have put in the work to bring it back into shape, including:
• Replacement emergency lighting and lightbar
• Acquisition of a replacement Federal Q siren
• New starter solenoid and batteries
• Additional mechanical improvements and upkeep

We are open to reasonable offers and will consider short-term holds for serious buyers.

Back to Life 🔧🚒

This weekend, our members rolled up their sleeves again and got back to work on our 1959 C Model Mack Pumper.

✔️ Installed a new alternator
✔️ Repaired a loose spark plug wire
✔️ Troubleshot issues with the choke cable

Every step brings this historic rig closer to where it belongs—back on the road, in front of the community, and doing what it was built to do.

We’re excited to (hopefully) have this piece of fire service history out at events again very soon.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Davis Construction Foundation & James G. Davis Construction (DAVIS) for awarding United Heritage Fire Company a generous $1,000 Builder Grant!

All types of items will be available to purchase. The kitchen will be open with breakfast and lunch options, drinks and desserts. Also, there are still spaces available if you have fire memorabilia or equipment that you would like to sell. Check out the flyer for all the information!
