Small but mighty—CCS Greater Binghamton is making a real difference for children in their community! Recently, volunteers Mary Elizabeth, Karen and Sister Mary Jane came together at St. Thomas Aquinas convent to assemble layettes. Sister Mary Jane is pictured with a completed layette to show its portability. Mary Elizabeth will be helping CCS GB by making connections with the Faith formation program at host parishes. Karen will deliver the layettes and continue cleaning books to be distributed. The Chapter is so thankful for the help, as are the agencies they serve. CCS Greater Binghamton would love more volunteers! Interested? See CCS GB in action on FB at Christ Child Society of Greater Binghamton, or email at [email protected] or Jeanette May at [email protected] for more information.

NCCS would like to recognize Christ Child Society Dayton (CCS Dayton) member, Mary Ann Henz, who passed away last fall at the age of 102. Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of the greater Dayton area. She was a graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in education. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, choir member and gardener. Mary Ann was a member of CCS Dayton for 85 extraordinary years serving as president from 1960-1962. Mary Ann joined CCS Dayton as a teenager. Her caring heart and leadership touched countless young lives in Dayton. Mary Ann’s legacy reminds us how one person can make a big difference for local children.

Throwback Thursday: Did you know the Christ Child Society began a special summer camp for girls in need almost a century ago? Camp Kateri gave girls the chance to play, learn, and make memories by the Chesapeake Bay—right in our community! We’re proud of our long history of helping children thrive.

Join us in celebrating CCS Omaha's inaugural mother-daughter sewing event! With the help of Bernina Sewing Center and experienced seamstresses like Board Member Barb Greene, participants learned to sew flannel blankets for baby bundles. This fun event not only taught valuable skills but also inspired high school girls to get involved with CCS Omaha. Let's continue supporting our community and helping children in need.
