Our small but mighty group of Teen Twigs have absorbed so much during their “Rooting Session” – workshops aimed at helping prepare them for the next phase of their lives as they graduate high school and Twigs. They are a dynamic group of young people who have spent time working on etiquette and culture at Hillwood Mansion, career and college readiness (along with a surprise bonus cotillion dress fashion show), developed speeches on their commitment to community service, and will work on poise and grace later this week.
During their “Communicating Your Values” session last night with an award-winning broadcast journalist and voice coach, it was clear how incredibly talented and committed these students are. This is a testament to their families–including their hard working mothers.
This is the value of Twigs.
Right now we are roughly $1200 short of a goal to help give these students and a well deserving non-Twigs student a small scholarship for college.
So many in this process have given so much – of themselves, their passion, their money, and their time – so this request is in full recognition and appreciation of those efforts.
It would help us tremendously if you would consider donating to this cause and/or asking those in your networks to contribute. Our inaugural group of Teen Twigs are setting a great example that we hope future cohorts will follow.

Your donation contributes to the programming and events coordinated by Twigs of Montgomery County Maryland. We coordinate service events to give back to our local community. In addition, we provide scholarships to local DMV seniors who pursuing post-secondary education.
