Brevard Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster - VOAD

As a coalition, we are not affiliated with any one city or community or local organization. We are affiliated with the Florida VOAD and the National VOAD.

The purpose of Brevard Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) is to bring together voluntary organizations active in disaster services through coordination, communication, and education, to foster cooperation for a more effective response. The Brevard VOAD provides service spotlights on our various agencies to understand what they can provide and also train our members on different aspe

cts of response and recovery. State and Local Government Agencies, and for-profit organizations may become members without voting rights, but they do have a voice on the coalition. We know that collaboration is the only way we will be able to respond effectively in the event of a major incident.

ASES - FREA , Solar Tour of Renewable home in Titusville. The in person guided tour of Bill and Betty house. The house has PV-photovoltaics, solar thermal hot water, rain barrel, solar cookers with kitchen, solar consumer items and EV's. Come October 4-5-6, this weekend between 10 am and 3 pm. All are welcome and learn about renewables, Just environmentalist sharing knowledge and solar baked cookies.

I work with FREA, and other environmental groups, like ASES. We are having a Solar Tour of solar powered homes and businesses this October 4 to 6. If you are in Florida, would you like to put your home on the tour and exhibit your solar power equipment.? Please let me know soon, before August 15.
