Riverdahl parents:
I’m calling on you because our Principal, Mr. Gibbons, is working on the future direction of our school, and he made it clear that we cannot move forward without hearing from our families first.
We know schools make many decisions for parents, but we want to start making decisions with them. We need your voice in the room to help us focus on the right priorities. We want to hear from you!!!
We’re having a town hall meeting this Monday, Feb 9th at Riverdahl elementary school from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. We will provide light snacks and beverages. Can we count on you to be there for your input? If you can attend please let me know or the school know so Gibbons can insure there will be enough snacks for everyone, thank you and hope to see you there ☺️❤️

We understand the Rockford Education Association (REA) has voted to authorize a strike.

While we’re disappointed by that outcome, we respect the process, and we’re actively working to schedule another bargaining session this week.

In the meantime, our number one focus remains our students.

We’re putting plans in place to ensure every child has access to a safe, welcoming space.

If a strike occurs, RPS 205 will keep all elementary, middle, and special programs open. These will not be instructional days, but meals will be available and our safe spaces will be staffed and ready to support families.

We’ll also open designated community spaces to help provide structure and support during the school day.

More details will be shared with families very soon.

We know this is a difficult moment for everyone.

But we’re here, and remain hopeful that we’ll move forward together.

‼️️DID YOU KNOW‼️ If you receive Illinois link (EBT) card you can go to a lot of the museums for free or very cheap 🤗❤️ it's a program called museums for all and I posted the link below! Click the link, search for the museum your interested in. There are some in all states!

I also posted the telephone number to contact Shedd aquarium to reserve tickets 🎟 they are also part of the program along with other Participating museums here in Illinois

Museum of science and industry is also one that is super fun 😁

Check it out and have some fun with the kids on these cold day's, you won't regret it. Great way to spend good, quality family time all while learning, exploring and engaging with nature's elements.

PLEASE REMEMBER THE HALLOWEEN EVENT IS FOR RIVERDAHL FAMILIES AND STAFF ONLY!!! THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC EVENT

Express eats will be set up in the parking lot from 2:45-5pm during our Halloween event this Wednesday! So stop over after trick or treating or before and grab some dinner!

Riverdahl families join us for our back to school picnic/open house August 13th food, hair cuts and basic school supplies (while supplies last) give away is from 2pm to 5pm outside, kona ice will be available for purchase from 2pm to 3:30pm and doors will open at 4pm for open house till 5pm, come hang out, get Riverdahl enrolled students a free hair cut, have a picnic, purchase a kona ice to help support PTO (20% of proceeds will come to us) let your child check out the playground, meet the staff and drop off school supplies!!!
