Roscoe Cemetery Ceremony

“Yesterday we attended the dedication ceremony of 4 Civil War Veterans and 1 Mexican War veteran buried at Roscoe Cemetery. They laid to rest with no markers at their graves and Boy Scout Duncan Kerrigan did the research and planning for this special day!…He did the caring, preserving, and honoring these veterans by telling their stories very well. It makes us so happy to see youth getting involved with preservation. Congratulations Duncan on your accomplishment!!

Beautiful day for a Memorial Day celebration at the Jewell Grove Cemetery in Wheaton. I was Mary Edwards Walker, the only female recipient of the Medal of Honor. Amazing woman with a great story.
