We are always on the lookout for good people doing great things.

We have been following this little pop up business for a little while.

From the Earth is a little home bakery. They bring some of your favorite treats to you at a very affordable price. This first batch will feature Jalapeno bread, snickerdoodle cookies, blueberry and a few more.

This Saturday the 7th of March will be their grand opening.

What makes these guys special is this month they will be donating 10% of their profit to the local group Inside Connection. These guys help provide women's health, parental and family services. Which they are needed more than ever now that Western Wyoming Family Planning is shutting down on the 31st of March.

They have their bakery set up at 855 Moccasin Lane in Rock Springs. They will have QR code as well as a cash box set up as they are have an honor based set up. They have asked that you bring exact change if you would loke to pay like that.

Please go out and support these guys. There are a few pictures below of what they have made in the past

Dan passed away unexpectedly on December 13th 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann Laabs, their 2 sons, Daniel III, and Charles, 2 brothers, Jasper and Davis Laabs, and a gaggle of grandkids. To have known Dan was to love him and hed never met a stranger a day in his life. He was quick witted and funny, fond of sharing stories about his wild and adventurous early adulthood years As is often the case in situations where a loved one is called home unexpectedly, the arrangements were made last minute and as such the family was not able to pay in full the balance due. That brings us to this fundraiser, we are asking for the help of the community we are a part of. We need your help to pay the remainder of the balance due for the arrangements for our dear Dan. The amount remaining is a total of $2800 to pay for the cremation services for our Mr. Laabs. As per Dan's wishes, there will be no funeral services held. He never wanted anyone to fuss over him in life or in death, in lieu of flowers, well wishers can donate to this go fund me at the link below.

Hey guys,

Dan from Broken Arrow here.

I have three households that are going through a personal family struggle that are taking up all of their time and cannot make a meal for a few days.

From traveling back and forth from place to place to handling their situation, they don't have the time to cook and fast food is so expensive for every meal.

We are asking for the communities help. For privacy reasons the family does not want to start a meal train or any other site just yet. We have provided meals for them at this point in time for today.

In the past we have gathered plates for families. (They have no food restrictions.) Some have donated flowers in support. Some have donated gift cards for take out or even coffee.

The very last thing we want is monetary donations but we do have a venmo since some would like to support but don't have the time to cook. The venmo will be down below if inclined.

We just want to give a huge shout out to those who helped this year providing food for those who need a little helping hand with enjoying a Thanksgiving Dinner.

Within a span on one week you all donated enough turkeys and sides to provide for 25 families who needed a little extra help this year.

A few people that we've helped in the past have provided food as well now that they're in a better place. Which is great news.

There are a few community events around Sweetwater County for thise who may be flying solo this Thanksgiving; for those wishing a little companionship this Thursday.
