Welcome to SOAR! I created this non-profit as part of my Senior Capstone project. Last year I saw my mom struggling with students who needed help with purchasing cap and gowns, paying fines and fees for graduation, and trying to pay college application fees. That’s how SOAR was born! I wanted a way to give back to the community and help others succeed without barriers that would keep them from the finish line. My name is Caleb Gravley, and I am reaching out on behalf of SOAR (Support, Opportunity, Access, Resources), a local nonprofit initiative I created to help students remove barriers that stand between them and graduation. SOAR is a brand-new organization, and we are currently in our inaugural season.
For many students, the finish line is close—but everyday needs can quickly become roadblocks. SOAR exists to step in at the right moment with practical support, such as graduation fees and essentials, basic school supplies, academic support resources, and emergency assistance that helps students stay engaged and on track. Our goal is simple: to help students show up, stay connected, and graduate with confidence.
We are currently seeking community partners who believe in students and want to make a direct, visible impact. A donation to SOAR allows us to respond quickly when a student has a need that could otherwise derail their progress. Every gift—large or small—goes toward creating stability, opportunity, and hope for a student who is working hard to finish strong. As a new organization, donations and community support are critical to our success.
