The Heart2Heart Foundation Through our educational and screening programs, we are touching hearts, saving lives! One in three women will die of heart disease.

The mission of The Heart2Heart Foundation is to inspire and enable women and their loved ones to take action that prevents heart attack, stroke or premature death. In fact, more 6 times more women will die of heart disease this year than ALL of the cancers combined, including breast cancer. Yet women, of all education, professional and social backgrounds, seem largely uninformed about heart diseas

e. The Heart2Heart Foundation was established to help educate women across all socio-economic groups regarding the prevention and treatment of heart disease. Funds raised will be used for local initiatives. Our focus is to provide risk-factor identification and lifestyle coaching at minimal or no charge to inform women of their status as it relates to heart disease. We will also strive to provide emotional and financial assistance to women (and their families) who have experienced a heart-related health incident to ensure their best success for recovery and quality of life. The foundation will also work to provide ongoing communication to local, state and federal leaders about the need for increased awareness, education, and prevention of heart disease, especially as it relates to women. All information provided on our pages is for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY and never intended as medical advice. Please consult your health care provider regarding any symptoms, questions or specific issues you may experience. 💙 Men’s Health Month | A Message to the Men We Love 💙

To every man age 30 and older…

The people who love you don’t just need you here today—they need you for the ballgames, graduations, weddings, fishing trips, family vacations, and the everyday moments that become treasured memories.

Too often, heart disease develops silently, with no warning signs until a heart attack or stroke changes everything.

That’s why at The Heart2Heart Foundation, we encourage men with two or more cardiovascular risk factors—such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, a family history of heart disease, smoking, obesity, or sleep apnea—to consider advanced cardiovascular screening.

One of the most powerful tools available is a Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) Scan. This simple, non-invasive scan can detect calcified plaque in your coronary arteries before symptoms appear, helping you and your healthcare provider better understand your heart disease risk and take action early.

Through our initiative, we’re proud to partner with:
❤️ Carolina Cardiology Associates to serve the York County, SC area.
❤️ Ballad Health to serve the Johnson County, TN area.

Depending on eligibility and location, reduced-cost or no-cost screening opportunities may be available.

If you’re 30 or older and have at least two risk factors, take a few minutes to complete our Heart Risk Quiz to see if you may benefit from advanced screening.

Don’t wait for symptoms.

Know your risk. Protect your future. Be there for the people who love you.

❤️🖤 CATAWBA MEN: YOUR FAMILY NEEDS YOU. YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU. YOUR HEART MATTERS. 🖤❤️

June is Men’s Health Month, and today our own Debbie Hayworth, VP of Operations for The Heart2Heart Foundation, is at the Catawba Nation helping men learn more about their heart health and the importance of early detection.

Here’s the reality:

đź’” Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death for American Indian and Alaska Native populations. Heart disease is among the top causes of death for Native communities, and Native men experience higher rates of cardiovascular disease than Native women.

đź’” Research has shown American Indian and Alaska Native populations experience a disproportionate burden of cardiovascular disease, and some studies have found significantly higher rates of coronary heart disease compared to other populations.

đź’” Native men also have some of the lowest life expectancy rates in the United States, making prevention and early detection more important than ever.

The good news? ❤️

Many heart attacks and strokes can be prevented when risk factors are identified before symptoms appear.

That’s why The Heart2Heart Foundation is proud to offer scholarships for qualified men age 30 and older through our Advanced Cardiovascular Screening Program, made possible through the generous support of the Singhi Charitable Foundation and our medical partner, Carolina Cardiology Associates.

Our advanced screening program may include:

âś… Advanced cardiovascular blood work
âś… Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) heart scan
âś… Sleep apnea screening when appropriate
âś… Education to help you understand your personal risk

Too many men wait until they have symptoms.

Don’t guess. Test.

📍 If you’re at the Catawba Nation today, stop by and talk with Debbie.

“The greatest gift you can give your family is taking care of yourself so you’re here for the moments that matter.” ❤️

FROM THE DESK OF SHEILA CALDWELL -
On Saturday, May 30, I will celebrate 14 years as a heart attack survivor — and I can’t think of a more meaningful way to mark that milestone than by gathering with women who understand the power of courage, connection, and community.

The Heart2Heart Board and I warmly invite you to join us for our Gathering — a relaxed, dutch-treat evening of friendship, celebration, encouragement, and purpose.

We will come together to celebrate women who have survived heart disease, encourage the 60 million+ women in the U.S. living with some form of heart disease, and inspire every woman to advocate for herself, her family, and her community.

❤️ Gathering
đź“… Saturday, May 30
🕡 6:30 PM
📍 Vinny’s Taste of Italy
Authentic Italian Cuisine
994 Old York Rd, Chester, SC

This is not a formal fundraiser — just a warm evening around the table with women who care about one another and the mission we share.

Dinner will be dutch treat. We do need to give Vinny’s an accurate count, so please RSVP by Tuesday, May 26 at 5 PM.

Whether you are a survivor, love someone living with heart disease, or simply believe in helping women protect their hearts, we would love to have you with us.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we save lives.

💗 National Women’s Health Week — Day 6 💗

A Message for Women Ages 30–60 💗

These are the years many women become everything to everyone else.

Caregiver.
Professional.
Partner.
Mother.
Daughter.
Problem-solver.
The one everyone counts on.

And somewhere in the middle of building careers, raising families, managing stress, navigating hormonal changes, and trying to hold life together…

many women stop taking care of themselves.

But this stage of life matters.

❤️ Heart disease risk begins rising significantly for women during these years — especially with chronic stress, poor sleep, high blood pressure, hormonal shifts, weight changes, diabetes, inflammation, and burnout.

And many women don’t realize that symptoms in women are often different — and easier to dismiss.

This is the season to stop ignoring the whispers from your body.

đź’— During your 30s, 40s, and 50s, prioritize:

âś” Knowing your blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and family history
✔ Moving your body consistently — even in small ways
âś” Protecting your mental and emotional health
âś” Prioritizing sleep and recovery
âś” Managing stress before it manages you
âś” Fueling your body with nourishment, not just convenience
âś” Staying current on preventive screenings and wellness visits
âś” Paying attention to hormonal and menopause-related changes
âś” Finding healthcare providers who listen to you and take your symptoms seriously

And remember:

đź’— Exhaustion should not become your personality.
đź’— Burnout should not become your normal.
💗 “Pushing through it” is not always strength.

Your heart, hormones, mind, metabolism, and emotional health are all connected — because your body doesn’t work in pieces.

At The Heart2Heart Foundation, we believe women deserve proactive, whole-woman healthcare at every stage of life.

Your health matters now — not just when there’s a crisis.
