Taking Opportunities to Prevail Campus Ministry began as a student organization in 2002 and was received as a campus ministry in 2005 or 2006 by WCCM (Winthrop Cooperative Campus Ministry). (The date of campus ministry origin at Winthrop University should be confirmed by WCCM.) Taking Opportunities is known in the campus community as TOP@WU. The appointed leadership commissioned from Tabernacle of

Praise Church International serves as college minister for the church organization and one of the campus ministers of Winthrop University. The campus minister is accountable to Tabernacle of Praise Church International and Winthrop University.
