It’s tempting to blindly believe political stories or claims that align with your own political beliefs. Challenge this “confirmation bias” by examining what you’re seeing and remove any blind spots that may be clouding your belief in its accuracy.

You can cross-check questionable claims with dedicated fact-checking organizations like Snopes.com or FactCheck.org. Google Fact Check searches various fact-checking sites to verify claims. Or you can check with official state sites like mi.gov/vote.

Not sure if what you’re seeing is fact or fake? Check out other credible sources. If multiple channels are making similar claims (and ideally offering some verification), it’s likely that what you’re reading is the truth. There’s credibility in numbers.
