The Rochester Education Association extends our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Jack Zucco, a cherished member of the Rochester community. Jack’s passing is a profound loss, and our hearts are especially with his mother Carrie Zucco, a fellow educator in our district, and with all who knew and loved him.

As educators, we understand that our school community is also a family one that grieves together and supports one another through moments of unimaginable heartbreak. We hold Jack’s family close in our thoughts and surround them with care, compassion, and solidarity during this difficult time.

The Rochester Rockets community stands together in love and remembrance. ❤️🚀

The REA is working closely with our Executive Team, Building Representatives, and all members to minimize the effects the proposed cuts would have on our staff and students. Last Friday our team met and identified our most concerning cuts as buildings and a district as a whole. If you are interested in more details regarding the concerns our teachers have we invite you to access the document linked. We appreciate your continued support as we navigate these challenging times in our community.
