MARC's Economic Development "Action Team" met again last night at Strangebird Brewery on Marshall Street to continue developing programs and projects to help support the revitalization of Monroe Avenue. Wanna pitch in? Shoot us a dm or write to [email protected].

Dozens of volunteers from all over our area and beyond met on three occasions at three locations on Monroe Avenue to discuss three topics necessary for the revitalization of Monroe Avenue: Beautification & Livability; Security & Public Safety; and Economic Development. Members of the Monroe Avenue Revitalization Coalition (MARC) Steering Committee initiated and facilitated the discussions.

The MARC Steering Committee will collate results from these meetings in support of an actionable plan. Future meetings will include organizing our efforts to make the community’s plan happen and identifying resources to support those efforts.

MARC is a coalition of residents, merchants, property owners, and community partners dedicated to revitalizing Monroe Avenue through a holistic approach that will make The Avenue a vibrant place to eat, live, play, and shop.

This week MARC - Monroe Avenue Revitalization Coalition hosted a meeting at Nine Spot Brewing with many of the community agencies that work directly with our houseless community.

We are working together to help ensure the safety and quality of life for all members of our community. Sometimes that means having some difficult conversations. While meeting one another with compassionate but realistic stand points, we made many strides towards bringing one another together.

We are grateful for the time shared and are excited for to continue to work alongside one another. We would like to thank each and every one who joined us in the conversation.
