Rain, sleet, and a little bit of grit—nothing could stop our Webelos! 💪🌧️

They powered through the elements to complete their hike, finishing the final requirement for their Webelos Walkabout achievement.

We held the hike at Horseshoe Mill in Wareham, and it turned out to be a fantastic spot. If you’re looking for a scenic place to get outside close by, we definitely recommend checking it out!

Tonight was a special and memorable evening for Rochester Cub Scout Pack 30 as we held our Crossover Ceremony for four outstanding Scouts who have completed all of their Cub Scout achievements.

Congratulations to Kelvin, Benjamin, Ben, and Jerome on officially “crossing over the bridge” and beginning their next adventure with Rochester Pack 31 in Scouts BSA!

The Crossover Ceremony is one of the most meaningful traditions in Scouting. It symbolizes a Scout’s growth, hard work, and dedication as they move from Cub Scouts into the next phase of their journey. Crossing the bridge represents not only the end of one chapter, but the exciting beginning of another, filled with new challenges, leadership opportunities, and lifelong memories.

We are incredibly proud of all that these Scouts have accomplished and can’t wait to see what they achieve next.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to State Rep Mark Sylvia for taking the time to attend tonight’s ceremony. He presented each Scout with an official citation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives and joined the troop for a lively question and answer session, he certainly didn’t shy away from the hard hitting questions our Scouts had to offer!

Thank you to all of our leaders, families, and supporters who make moments like this possible.

Full house at the Pinewood Derby Regional Contest held at RMS this past Saturday, what a fantastic event! Congratulations to all of our scouts for their hard work and great sportsmanship.

A special thank you to Gilly from Rochester Memorial School for helping us set up on Friday and for all your support throughout the day—we truly appreciate it!

We would also like to recognize the Rochester Firefighters Association for their very generous monetary donation, which helped offset the cost of pizza for the event.

Thank you as well to Dunkin's in Marion for donating coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts, and to Nick's Homemade Pizza in Mattapoisett for generously adding eight free pizzas to our order.

Please be sure to support the businesses and organizations that helped make this event such a success!

Thank you to Sippican Week’s Mari Huglin for covering our annual Pinewood Derby race.

We would also like to thank Rochester Memorial School for allowing us to use the school for this event, as well as for hosting our weekly meetings. A big thank you as well to RMS Facilities manager Gilly for helping with setup, day of operations and clean up at the end.

Also thank you to Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School for once again welcoming our Scouts into the carpentry shop to construct their cars.

Regionals will be hosted again this year at RMS in March.

Congratulations to all the Scouts who participated in today’s annual Pinewood Derby! 🏁
Next up is the regional competition for the top five racers on March 21st at Rochester Memorial School.

A big thank-you to Officer Matias and Officer Lakhal from the Rochester Police Department for stopping by to inspect the cars pre-race for any illegal modifications—and for making sure none of the derby cars broke the sound barrier. Neighbors were still recovering from last year’s excessive sonic booms. 😉

Thank you to the Rochester Troop 31 Boy Scouts for assisting with race operations.

Lastly, a HUGE thank-you to Marion Dunkin' for once again donating all the donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate for today’s event. We truly appreciate your continued support!

Thank you to everyone who purchased a Holiday centerpiece and thank you to Bunny and the other volunteers that showed the Scouts and parents how to assemble the centerpieces. The scouts had a great time making them. Through the generosity of community the Pack was able to donate 10 centerpieces to the Rochester Police Department, MA, the Rochester Fire Department, the Town of Rochester, MA Town Hall and the rest to the Rochester Council on Aging for our seniors to enjoy.
