🎉 As we welcome this New Year, let's extend our hands to those navigating recovery and dealing with substance-use disorder. 🎊
New Year's Eve often revolves around traditional drinking and drug consumption, and for those in recovery, this day may bring unique challenges.
🎆🌟
Let's unite to offer encouragement, empathy, and assistance to those on their recovery journey. Whether it's lending a compassionate ear, organizing sober gatherings, or simply being present for someone in need, every gesture matters.
🎆🌟
At the very least, we ask you to please make sure that you never bully, pressure, coerce, convince, bribe, or even overly encourage someone else to consume drugs or alcohol. This can happen inadvertently, even if you don't mean to. You may think that you're just trying to include them in the fun, when in reality, you may be testing them in ways they're not ready to withstand.
🎆🌟
If you're having a party, make sure that you offer non-alcoholic beverage options and have plenty of water on hand. Excessive drinking can lead to alcohol poisoning, but being well-hydrated can help reduce the risk of over-consumption.
🎆🌟
Let's make this New Year's Eve a time of reflection, growth, and renewed commitment to aiding one another. Together, we can foster an environment where everyone feels supported and empowered.
Wishing you a safe and meaningful New Year's Eve!
