PLEA Foundation Inc. was pleased to donate a Bullet-proof vest to K9 Vader of Oak Park Public Safety a couple weeks ago.

Thank you to LOF Defence Systems Ltd. and the fabulous people there in Edmonton, Alberta who helped us provide this equipment donation.

The LOF K9 StreetFighter Vest is a soft body armour protective vest for your K9 companion. This protective vest is specially designed to be lightweight and mobile while also protecting the K9’s vital organs without them becoming exhausted from excessive heat and weight. Aiding alongside the bullet-resistant armour, the StreetFighter vest also contains an inner layer of Outlast Thermal Management Systems™ fabric to prevent excessive heat soaking and to help regulate your K9's body temperature keeping them comfortable and cool.

Our proceeds from this past winter's Crop for Paws event and from our local donors, Donald and Christine all helped make this happen.
The total value donated for this vest was $1,332.58 US Dollars (USD)

With your help, we hope to help as many K9s as possible.

This summer, PLEA Foundation's main objective was to help combat K9 heat exhaustion for as many local agencies as possible.

PLEA Foundation Inc. was pleased to donate 2 Hot & Pop Pro units with 4 years of AceWatchDog cloud service for K9 Fuze and K9 Knox of Oakland County Sheriff's Office a couple weeks ago.

Also, thank you to AceK9.com and the fabulous people there who helped us provide this equipment to the very deserving Pontiac substation of Oakland County.

The HOT-N-POP PRO® combines the features of our two best-selling canine safety products into one easy to use temperature alarm and door popper system. This innovative unit monitors vital components including temperature sensors and vehicle battery voltage and shows the information on a 32-character backlit alphanumeric display. Under alarm conditions, the unit activates an S.O.S. horn honk signal, siren, light-bar activation and dual window drop to immediately equalize the internal temperature of the vehicle. The door popper feature releases the K-9 from the vehicle by remote control worn in a holster.

The AceWatchDog™ is add-on hardware and works in conjunction with HOT-N-POP®PRO.
Features:
- Enabled with Smartphone
- Receive warning notifications BEFORE the DANGER and Alarm Happens
- Multiple personnel can monitor multiple vehicles
- Handler, Supervisor, Fellow Handlers and Family can receive notifications
- Texts & Automated Voice Calls to Cellular and Voice Calls to Landline

Our proceeds from this spring's Color Run 5K, Sterling Heights Lions Club Paws 4 Service event, our 250th Merchandise sales and from our local donors, Donald and Christine all helped make this happen.

Each of these Hot & Pop Pro units with the upgraded Fan kit & Fan guard are valued at $1955.00.
Each of the AceWatchDog services with 4 years cloud service is $1,204.00.
With both units and both AceWatchDog services, with total value donated was $6,319.52.

Deputy Smith has since reached out since the unit was installed and said that it is amazing and he is very thankful to everyone who made this happen for him and K9 Fuze!

With your help, we hope to help as many K9s as possible.
