Who We Are
Imagine Me Community Outreach Inc. is a grassroots, community-driven organization rooted in service, compassion, and lived experience. Our work began in 2007 while we were living at F.I.G.H.T. Apartments, serving children and families in our own neighborhood in the City of Rochester.
Our foundation was also shaped at the Clinton & Baden Recreation Center under the leadership of Michael Swinton, Pamela Jackson, and Jackie Williams. Through their mentorship, we grew in purpose and commitment to community work. It was there that we created a girls’ group—empowering ourselves and other young girls to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and explore entrepreneurship by operating a small candy store that we successfully ran.
Long before becoming an official nonprofit, our mission was already in motion—to uplift, support, and create meaningful opportunities for youth and families. In 2014, we received our 501(c)(3) status, allowing us to expand our impact while continuing to provide free programs, resources, and outreach to those who need it most.
All of our programs and events are intentionally designed to serve urban, low-income communities—meeting people where they are and addressing real needs with care, consistency, and respect.
Our work goes beyond programs—we meet people where they are. From youth development and enrichment to early morning outreach serving individuals experiencing homelessness, we are committed to restoring dignity, creating access, and building stronger communities.
Imagine Me Community Outreach Inc. is led by founders Jacqueline Brinkley, Kelly Glover, and Denise Matthews, with leadership support from Pandora Brinkley & Tia Faulkner. Together, we remain dedicated to making a lasting difference—whether seen or unseen—in the lives of those we serve.
