Today we celebrate and send a big congratulations to our third workforce development cohort at The Farm! 🌱

We're so proud of these hard-working individuals who completed 135 hours over 5 weeks, getting hands-on with every part of the hydroponic process—from seeding and harvest to packaging and delivering an amazing 239 pounds of produce to clients in VOA programs as well as partner pantries in Monroe County. Way to go, everyone!

It’s National Nonprofit Day! 🎉

For 130 years, VOA has been committed to serving those who need us most. That mission would not be possible without the organizational partners, volunteers, staff, and individuals who work every day to build resilience in their communities.

Thank you for making a difference! voa.org/130-years-of-resilience

If you've been considering participating in VOA's Hike to End Homelessness, this is your friendly reminder that today is the last day to register and receive a free event t-shirt.

We're hoping to bring together community members from across the Rochester area on September 13 in support of safe housing, stability, and hope.

The event is simple: a family-friendly, one-mile walk at St. John Fisher University. But the impact is much bigger. Every registration helps support local programs that serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

School ends at 3 p.m. Your workday doesn't.

The VOA Children's Center helps bridge that gap with a safe, engaging after-school program for children ages 5–12. Parents can focus on work knowing their children are cared for, supported, and having fun.
