Are you ready to start celebrating the 2026 USA Special Olympics Games?

There is less than a week from the Final Leg of the Torch Run event. The local Rochester Flyers Special Olympics team is inviting you to join them in celebrating on Thursday, June 18th at Soldiers Field Memorial Park. PossAbilities will also be there celebrating and welcoming the runners, so come on down and join us! Wear your Flyers or PossAbilities gear to show your support.

There will also be a t-shirt fundraiser ($20 each). The t-shirts commemorate Sergeant Beverly Rodrguez who passed away last year off duty from the Metro Transit Police Department and a long time Torch Runner.

12:40 PM – Welcome Program Begins

🍿🎬 Join us for a FREE Toy Story 5 Movie Night!

Emerald Financial Group and Thrivent have partnered to host a special community event benefiting the Rochester Flyers Special Olympics team. Athletes, families, friends, and community members are all welcome to attend.

Enjoy a fun evening at the movies, including popcorn and a drink, while supporting the Rochester Flyers. While this event is free to attend, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about the Rochester Flyers and support our nonprofit through voluntary donations if they wish.

We also encourage Rochester Flyers athletes, families, coaches, and volunteers to wear Rochester Flyers apparel if possible!

A suggestion for anyone coming to join our Flyers Cheer Team. The route marked in blue will be closed probably by 11:30. That is why we are telling people to be at Soldiers Field around 11:00.

What a wonderful weekend to celebrate our Flyers Family! Our Spring Celebration celebrated our athletes, families, and coaches! A huge thank you to everyone for their continued hard work and commitment ! We truly have an amazing Flyers family. Let’s go Flyers!

This honor is a reflection of the time, heart, and dedication she pours into the Rochester Flyers and Special Olympics athletes every day.

We are incredibly grateful for all she does and couldn’t be more proud to see her receive this well-deserved recognition. 💙
