Join us for a simple but meaningful way to give back this month in honor of Maternal Mental Health Month đź’™

Each day of the month is available for “claiming”—just donate the dollar amount that matches the day (ex: donate $5 for the 5th)

Once a day is claimed, we’ll reveal a Maternal Mental Health Awareness Fact to help spread education, reduce stigma, and support families.

The first 7 days have been claimed by PSI-WV board members - days 8-31 are available!

If you would like to participate here is the link to our chapter donation page: https://postpartum.app.neoncrm.com/forms/westvirginiachapter

Thank you so much for the support đź’™

The WVLPCA board is a fully volunteer leadership position. Our board members donate their time, energy, insight, and wisdom to organize, advocate and grow our profession. One of the best parts about the WVLPCA 2026 Conference is getting to connect with colleagues. Our board president, Laura Littleton, was so proud to welcome both her former boss and ALPS, Kathy Szafran, and her former coworker, Ashlee Heberger-Jividen, as presenters at this year’s conference!

The latest from ACA about the changes to counseling program’s classification and student loans.

The latest from ACA about the changes to counseling program’s classification and student loans.

The Department of Education has proposed lowering federal student loan limits for many counseling students, what happens next?

We expect the Department to post the proposed rule in the Federal Register in early 2026, and the public will have an opportunity to comment on it (generally 30-60 days). The Department then reviews the feedback and may make changes to the rule based on comments. Following this step, the final rule is formally published in the Federal Register, at which point the regulatory changes are scheduled to take effect in accordance with the effective date outlined in the rule.

This public comment period is extremely important- it lets us shape the final rule by sharing our thoughts and lived experiences. A robust public comment response also shows Congress this is an important issue and encourages them to take legislative action.

ACA will be submitting a public comment about the proposed changes to federal student loan limits, and we’ll be launching a campaign to help you submit comments too. Look for this campaign in early 2026!
