We can't believe it's August already, which means school is right around the corner. Let's pause for a prayer this morning for the upcoming school year:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for the gift of a new school year and the opportunity for a fresh start. We pray over every student, teacher, and staff member heading into the classroom. Please go before them, calm their anxieties, and grant them wisdom. Protect their hearts, guide their friendships, and fill their minds with the curiosity to learn and grow. May they feel Your presence and peace in every hallway, on the playground, and in every challenge they face.
In Jesus’ name,Amen

Our new permanent classroom in Roanoke is just about ready and we are so excited to show it off! Be sure to mark your calendar and swing by to see what we have been working on all summer. Refreshments will be provided!

Be sure to check out this awesome community event! The Red LifeWise bus will be there for all the kiddos to check out!

This year’s event is shaping up to be our BIGGEST one yet! We have been working hard to bring even more fun and exciting things for families to enjoy.

This year you can look forward to:

• More farm equipment to explore
• Fire truck rides
• More food options
• A cooling station to help everyone stay comfortable in the summer heat
• A new and improved Kid Zone with changes you won’t want to miss!

We are also excited to introduce something new this year — our first-ever Quiet Cruise Hour from 3:00–4:00 PM! During this time, there will be no sirens, horns, or loud noises, giving those who prefer a calmer environment the chance to enjoy the vehicles before the full event begins from 4:00–7:00 PM.

We are proud to continue collecting donations for the Roanoke Hope Center. If you are able, please consider bringing hygiene or household items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, cleaning supplies, trash bags, baby wipes, or other everyday essentials.

Shelf-stable food donations are always welcome too, including kid-friendly items like macaroni and cheese, cereal, granola bars, peanut butter, crackers, fruit snacks, applesauce cups, popcorn, pasta, ramen noodles, canned soups, spaghetti sauce, snacks, and other easy-to-make meals.

Every donation helps local families right here in our community. Hope Center donations can be dropped off in front of the Hope Center building during the event. If you are bringing refrigerated items, we will have coolers available to keep them cold until they can be delivered.

Whether you’re coming to explore big trucks, enjoy the food, check out the new Kid Zone, take a ride on a fire truck, or help support local families, there will be something for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Touch-a-Truck Roanoke and helped make this event possible. We can’t wait to see you all on Saturday, August 1st!

Last night was a little chilly but we had so much fun anyways! Thank you to everyone who came out for the LifeWise Pool Party! School is around the corner and we cannot wait for year #2 in Roanoke-Benson!!

This school year we will be offering LifeWise class to 2 grade through 4 grade in Roanoke at the Roanoke UnitedMethodist Church in our new permanent classroom! We will also be offering class to 5 grade in Benson at the St.Paul Lutheran Church. Please prayerfully consider helping our program out as the school year nears!

This week starts our NEW Business Sponsorship!

We will be visiting businesses around town, handing out our red folders with information! LifeWise is an amazing program, and is privately funded. Every donation received goes right back into our local program!

Ongoing costs this year will be:
-Bibles and shirts for new students
-curriculum and student supplies
-classroom set up
-bus maintenance and gas
-paid team members wages

Enrollment is now open for students to sign up for LifeWise!! Please click the link below to fill out a permission slip for the 2026-2027 school year. They must be going into 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade to participate this year.

Painting is almost done and all the little details are coming together. We worked hard this weekend and wore out our littlest volunteer 🤣 We are so excited the students will be back in a little over a month!
