Alright… real question.

$100k Jeep…
or $35k Jeep + a few upgrades and money left to actually use it?

We broke it all down 👇
https://vaoffroad.org/100k-jeep-vs-35k-jeep/

Here’s the thing…
That 392 is a beast. No doubt.

But a Sport S with some mods?
Same trails. Way less money. Way less stress about scratching it.

So what are you really paying for… capability or convenience?

If someone handed you the keys…
you taking the 392 or building your own? 👀

What you’re actually paying for (and why they’re way closer than people think) There’s this moment that hits just about everyone when they start getting into off-roading. You’re either scrolling Facebook or standing at a trailhead and you see it… A Jeep sitting on 37s. Big stance. Looks me...

Most people think “clubs and groups” means picking one and sticking with it…

That’s not how we do things at VAOR.

We built this a little different.

Whether you’re running a built 4WD, daily driving something stock, or just getting started… there’s a place for you here. From the free 2WD community all the way up to the 4WD clubs and lifetime members, it’s not about exclusivity… it’s about getting more people involved and supporting the trails we all use.

And here’s the part people don’t always realize…

We’re not here to compete with your local group or replace it.
We’re here to bring everyone together.

Local clubs, small groups, solo riders… all under one mission:
👉 keep trails open
👉 teach people to do it right
👉 actually give back to the community

You can jump in for free, or go a step further and help fund cleanups, education, and access across Virginia.

No pressure. No gatekeeping. Just good people, good rigs, and a bigger purpose behind it all.

🚙🌲 Pick Up Trash. Keep Trails Open. It’s that simple.

We all love hitting the trails… but keeping them open? That takes all of us.

That’s why we launched our Trail Cleanup Program 👇
👉 https://vaoffroad.org/cleanup/

Here’s the deal:

Go out and wheel like you normally would
Bring a trash bag with you
Spend even 10 minutes picking up trash
Submit a photo + the trail you cleaned

That’s it.

You’ll earn your Trail Cleanup Badge, and you’ll be entered for cash prizes at the end of the year 💰

Since launching, VAOR members have already removed hundreds of pounds of trash and helped protect hundreds of miles of trails across Virginia

And if you want to take it a step further…
We’ve got an Adopt-a-Trail program where you can claim a trail and help keep it clean year-round.

No membership required. No complicated rules. Just people who actually care about the trails we ride.

Let’s show everyone what off-roaders are really about.

Drop a 👍 if you’re in… and tag someone who needs to bring a trash bag next ride.

Pick Up Trash. Keep Trails Open. When you hit the trails and collect trash, you will earn our Trail Cleanup Badge and be entered to win cash prizes at the end of the year too! Virginia Off-Road Community Impact Since launching in 2025, Virginia Off-Road volunteers have already removed hundreds…

So… you got a truck or SUV sitting in the driveway. Maybe it’s 4WD. Maybe it looks trail ready.

But here’s the real question…

👉 Is your daily driver actually ready for the trail?

A lot of people think you need a fully built rig before you even think about hitting dirt… lift kit, big tires, lights everywhere.

Truth is?
You probably don’t.

In our latest post, we break it down in a real way—what actually matters vs what just looks cool.

Tires (this is the big one)
Knowing how to use your 4WD
Basic recovery gear
And honestly… driver skill more than anything

We’ve seen stock rigs go places built rigs couldn’t… just because the driver knew what they were doing.

If you’ve been on the fence about getting out there, this one’s for you 👇
https://vaoffroad.org/is-your-daily-driver-actually-trail-ready/

You might be more ready than you think.

So you got a truck or SUV. Maybe its 4WD. Maybe it even looks the part a little bit. Bigger tires, maybe a small lift, maybe not. Either way… you’ve been thinking about hitting a trail. And somewhere along the way you probably asked yourself“yeah but… is my rig actually…

Alright, I’m going to let you guys in on something big we’ve been working on…

We’re building a VAOR Off Road Educational Park.

Right now, we bounce around and borrow land for everything we do. It works… but it’s not the long-term plan.

This would be a 5–7 acre property with a building, parking, and a small off-road course where we can actually teach hands-on. Not just talk about it… actually show people how to use their rigs the right way.

We’d be able to run classes, small events, family programs, and build something that lasts for the off-road community here in Virginia.

This isn’t just about land… it’s about protecting off-roading long term and doing things the right way.

Check it out here:

If you’ve ever wanted to be part of building something bigger… this is it 🤘

but raccoon thought “sawyer” was a guy we invite to dinner… he almost made soup 🍲😐

don’t just start cuttin trees like a wild beever 🦫
