Who's at risk for an aortic aneurysm?
Over age 65
History of smoking
High blood pressure
Family history of aortic aneurysms
Certain inherited conditions

Unlike hepatitis A and B, there’s no vaccine to prevent hep C. Millions of people in the U.S. have hep C, and many don't know they have it.

Have you been tested for hep C?

Hepatitis C (hep C) is a virus that affects the liver. Over time, it can cause serious health problems if it isn't treated.

Because hep C often doesn't cause symptoms, many people don’t realize they have it until they’re tested. All adults should be tested at least once. Screening is quick with a simple blood test.

Hep C can be cured with antiviral medications. The sooner it’s diagnosed and treated, the better.

As satisfying as it may feel to clean your ears with a cotton swab, it can actually do more harm than good.

Cotton swabs can remove a small amount of earwax near the surface, but most of the wax gets pushed farther into the ear canal. This can lead to things like:

A clogged feeling
Temporary hearing loss
Ear pain or pressure
Ringing in the ears
Ear infections

Putting fingers, cotton swabs, or other things in your ears can also damage the ear canal. If earwax is bothering you, use a washcloth to gently clean around the opening of your ears. Or try over-the-counter ear drops that break up and loosen wax so it can come out naturally.
